Christmas by Michael Bublé.
Michael Bublé's Christmas has become a modern holiday standard since its original arrival, and this 2018 pressing keeps that legacy spinning on vinyl. Few contemporary records have so thoroughly earned their place among seasonal essentials, and part of that success comes down to the calibre of people behind the boards. Produced in large part by David Foster—one of the most decorated names in mainstream pop and jazz-inflected balladry—alongside Humberto Gatica and Bob Rock, the album carries a polish that rewards a careful listen and a good pair of speakers.
Musically, this is Bublé at his most warm and unhurried, leaning into the big-band swing and lush orchestral arrangements that suit his crooner's phrasing. The engineering pedigree here is genuinely notable: mixing contributions from legends like Al Schmitt and Chris Lord-Alge, plus Eric Helmkamp, Jochem van der Saag, Gatica, and Rock, give the record a clarity and depth that make the horns bloom and the vocals sit right up front.
For collectors, the pressing itself invites attention. It shares a barcode with the Urban Outfitters splatter edition yet is distinguished by its own media color, making it a subtly different variant worth identifying carefully. Marketed as a Limited Edition, it's a handsome, festive addition that pairs seasonal charm with serious studio craft.
