The set spans both sides of Evans's expansive repertoire, opening with the buoyant "Sareen Jurer" and "Sugar Plum" before moving into the reflective "The Two Lonely People" and the angular, cerebral "T.T.T. (Twelve Tone Tune)." The ballad "Quiet Now" closes out the first half of the program with the kind of hushed lyricism that became an Evans signature. This edition arrives in a gatefold sleeve featuring liner notes by Neil Tesser, whose commentary situates the recording within Evans's story and its rediscovery. A few points are worth noting for the discerning collector: the inside cover text states that lacquers were cut by Clint Holley at Well Made Music, though the runouts indicate they were in fact cut by Martin Krafft (2) at Optimal Media GmbH. Likewise, the hype sticker description of a "2-LP set pressed on 180-gram vinyl at RTI" refers to a separate USA edition rather than this pressing.
